Criteria for selecting proposals...
The major elements in evaluating proposals include assessments of: (1) the scientific merit and general significance of the proposed objectives and the training activities to meet these objectives; (2) the competence of the proposed investigator or program director to successfully pursue the training objectives; (3) the adequacy of the available and proposed facilities and resources; (4) the necessity of the budget components required in relation to the proposed training objectives; and (5) the relevance and importance to announced program objectives.
